Copper is an essential trace mineral necessary for survival!
It is found in all body tissues and plays a role in making red blood cells and maintaining nerve cells and the immune system. It also helps the body form collagen and absorb iron and plays a role in energy production. (Source: Google Search)
Who would have thought that this wonderful ‘trace-mineral’ plays such an important role with our own bodies plus is the CORNERSTONE of your IT System, wherever your PROPER place of work is! WORK FROM HOME
As a business, ONA have diversified over many years, Cu/Copper still remains our CORE business.
HISTORY – Cu/ Copper was one of the first metals to be used by humans, possibly the main reason for this being that it occurs ‘naturally in relatively pure forms’.
Various copper tools and decorative items dating back as early as 9000 BCE have been discovered, archaeological evidence suggests that it was the early Mesopotamians who, around 5000 to 6000 years ago, were the first to fully harness the ability to extract and work with copper. Lacking modern knowledge of metallurgy, early societies, including the Mesopotamians, Egyptians, and Indigenous peoples in America, prized the metal mostly for its aesthetic qualities, using it like gold and silver for producing decorative items and ornaments. Moving forward several thousands of year, ONA are installers of Leviton (formally Brand-Rex), although we are happy to install other manufacturers systems such as Siemon and Datwyler to name but a few. We do though insist on installing brand name equipment and as a system, i.e. Brand-Rex cable connected to Brand-Rex connectors and patch panels, Siemon cable connected to Siemon connectors and patch panels etc.
All the main manufacturers spend millions of pounds on R&D to make sure their systems work to their maximum potential, TOGETHER. They are also involved in the forums that work with the standards bodies such as the IEEE, ISO/IEC and TIA to develop the cabling standards and work closely with the organisations that have developed the network protocols that all networks use.
Once ONA have installed the lines, we test using Fluke certification field testers with the results saved and filed as well as being made available to you at your request at any time. We have a test catalogue going back 10+ years!
Please DO NOT be fooled by those that say, they can pop a cable in for you. ONA’s goal is to ensure, whatever we install for you or your client, it has ‘PERFORMANCE LONGEVITY!’
So, from Cu/Copper helping make your blood cells or from those early Mesopotamians, right up to current times when you need to Log-in, ‘Copper’ is such an important medium of choice!
